Nakod Privacy Policy

Effective Date: December 25, 2025
Last Updated: December 25, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Nakod (operated by GigHz LLC, “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use nakod.com and related services (the “Service”). If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Service.

1) Scope

This Policy applies to information collected through the Service, including when you:

  • browse nakod.com,
  • use CPT search and other tools,
  • submit information through forms (including the contact form).

2) Important: Do not submit PHI

Nakod is not designed for Protected Health Information (PHI) at this time.

Do not submit patient names, MRNs, DOBs, images containing identifiers, or any other patient-identifying or patient-linked health/payment information through the Service.

If you submit PHI anyway, you do so at your own risk and you are responsible for compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.

3) Information we collect

A) Information you provide

  • Contact form submissions: whatever you type into the form (e.g., name, organization, message content).
  • Optional account data (if enabled): name, organization, role, and login credentials (or third-party auth identifiers), and subscription status.

B) Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages viewed, features used, search interactions, clicks, referring/exit pages, timestamps.
  • Device and network data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language, approximate location derived from IP.
  • Log data: server logs and security logs (e.g., to detect abuse and troubleshoot issues).

C) Cookies and similar technologies

We may use cookies/local storage for:

  • session management,
  • basic site functionality,
  • analytics and performance measurement.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not function correctly if you disable cookies.

4) How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
  • respond to inquiries submitted via the contact form;
  • monitor usage, improve product experience, and debug issues;
  • prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

5) How we share information

We may share information:

  • With service providers that help us run the Service (e.g., hosting, analytics, security, error monitoring, payment processing if enabled). They may access information only to perform services for us and must protect it.
  • For legal and safety reasons (e.g., to comply with law, subpoenas, or to protect rights/safety).
  • In a business transfer (e.g., merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale), where information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information in the conventional sense. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as a business model for Nakod.

6) Analytics

We may use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Service. These tools may collect usage data and device/network identifiers. If you want, we can add an opt-out toggle later (but as of today, cookie controls are handled via your browser).

7) Data retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide the Service,
  • comply with legal obligations,
  • resolve disputes,
  • enforce agreements,
  • maintain security and logs.

Retention periods vary by data type (e.g., logs vs. contact messages). If you want hard retention limits, we can codify them later.

8) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9) Your choices and rights

You can:

  • control cookies via browser settings;
  • request access, correction, or deletion of certain information by contacting us (see Section 13).

If you have an account (if/when enabled), you may also be able to update certain information through account settings.

10) California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident and the CCPA/CPRA applies to our processing, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share;
  • request deletion of personal information (subject to exceptions);
  • request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell; we do not share for cross-context behavioral advertising as a business model);
  • not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

How to submit a request: use the contact form (Section 13).
Authorized agents: an authorized agent may submit requests via the contact form, but we may require verification of authority.

Verification: we may ask for information to verify your identity and protect your data.

11) Children’s privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

12) International users

If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate, subject to their protections.

13) Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact us via the contact form on nakod.com.

14) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will reflect the effective change date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
